Apply a mapping to existing listings
Saving a mapping only changes future publishes. Click Apply to existing listings to re-publish live and draft listings with the new category.
Saving a mapping changes the default for new publishes. Listings you've already published keep the category they went out with. Apply to existing listings re-publishes those listings with the new marketplace category in one batch.

How do I apply a mapping to existing listings?
- Open the category's mapping page and make sure the mapping you want is saved.
- Under that saved mapping, click Apply to existing listings.
- The app finds every live, draft or scheduled listing in that category for the same marketplace and region, and queues them to re-publish with the new category.
- You'll get a confirmation with the count, then track progress in the bulk actions tray.
What does it leave alone?
- eBay only for now. This action runs against eBay listings; Amazon follows in a later release.
- Other regions. It only touches listings in the exact region of the mapping, so an eBay US mapping won't disturb eBay Motors listings.
- Ended and sold listings. These are skipped, since the marketplace won't let their category change anyway.
If there's nothing to change, you'll see No live or draft listings in this category to update.
Tip. Changing an eBay category re-creates each listing under the hood, which can reset watchers and listing age. Use bulk-apply to fix a genuinely wrong category, not for cosmetic tweaks.
Common questions
Does bulk-apply work for Amazon listings?
Not yet. Applying a mapping to existing listings runs for eBay only in this release. If you try it on an Amazon mapping you'll get a notice that bulk-apply is eBay-only for now.
Will it touch my eBay Motors listings?
No. Bulk-apply only re-publishes listings in the exact region of the mapping. An eBay US mapping leaves eBay Motors listings, and any other region, untouched.
Where do I see whether it worked?
Track the run in the bulk actions tray, which shows progress as each listing re-publishes. The change also appears in the recent-changes view tagged bulk applied.
Why did re-publishing reset my watchers?
Changing an eBay category re-creates the listing (withdraw, delete, recreate), which can reset watchers and listing age. That's eBay's behavior, not a fault, so only change a category when it's genuinely wrong.
