Optimise a product for search

On the SEO tab, set the SEO title, meta description, focus keyphrase and URL slug, with a live search preview.

The SEO tab controls how a product appears in search results. A live preview shows roughly how the listing will look so you can fine-tune it.

  1. Open a product and click the SEO tab.
  2. Write an SEO Title. Aim for 50–60 characters; the counter turns orange if you go long.
  3. Add a Meta Description of around 150–160 characters that encourages clicks.
  4. Set a Focus Keyphrase (the main term you want to rank for) and tidy the URL Slug.
  5. Add internal Search Keywords if you want, then click Update Product.

Tip. Include your focus keyphrase in both the title and the description, and keep the slug short and descriptive.
