Set up shipment presets

A preset saves a package, weight, dimensions and confirmation so common shipments configure in one click from the Preset menu.

A preset is a saved bundle of package defaults, weight, dimensions, package type and confirmation, that you apply to a draft in one click. If you ship the same kind of parcel repeatedly, presets cut out the typing.

The Shipment Presets manager

How do I create a preset?

  1. Open a paid order. In the Configure Shipment panel, click Preset ▾, then + Manage Presets….
  2. In the Shipment Presets window, fill in a Name, plus weight, length, width, height, package type and confirmation.
  3. Tick Make this the default preset to have it pre-selected on new drafts.
  4. Click Create preset.

How do I apply one?

Click Preset ▾ and choose a preset. The package fields fill in instantly. The default preset is marked with a star.

Tip. Build presets around your real boxes, for example a Small homeware carton at 2 lb, 10×8×6 in, so a rate shop is one click away.

Common questions

Can I have more than one default preset?

No. Only one preset can be the default. Ticking Make this the default preset on a new one moves the star off the previous default.

Do presets set the carrier or service too?

No. A preset fills the package, weight, dimensions and confirmation. You still shop rates and pick a service per order, since the rate depends on the destination.
