Copy a mapping to another region

After saving a mapping, click Copy to [region] to jump to that region's picker, then confirm the matching category and save.

If you sell the same products into more than one region of a marketplace, use Copy to [region] to reuse a mapping you've already made as a starting point. It points you at the right region's picker so you don't hunt for the matching category from scratch.

Copying a saved mapping to another region

How do I copy a mapping?

  1. On the category's mapping page, save a mapping for your first region, for example eBay United States.
  2. Under that saved mapping, you'll see a Copy to [region] button for each other region on the same platform.
  3. Click the region you want to copy into. The page returns with a note asking you to confirm the matching category for that region.
  4. Use the target region's picker to choose the matching category, then click Save default.

Why is there still a step to confirm?

Each region has its own category tree with its own IDs, so the same item can sit under a different category number on eBay UK than on eBay US. Copy carries the intent and opens the right region's picker, but you confirm the match rather than have it copied blindly. Copy only offers regions on the same marketplace, so you can't copy an eBay mapping onto an Amazon row.

Tip. Build out one region fully first, then sweep across its sibling regions with copy. It's far faster than mapping every region cold.

Common questions

Copy didn't fill in the category. Is that broken?

No, that's expected. Each region uses different category IDs, so copy only points you at the right region's picker. Choose the matching category there and click Save default.

Can I copy an eBay mapping to Amazon?

No. Copy only offers regions on the same marketplace. To map Amazon, use Amazon's own row on the mapping page.
