Configure a shipment
In the Configure Shipment panel, set the ship-from, weight, package type, dimensions, confirmation and any insurance.
The Configure Shipment panel on the right of the modal is where you describe the parcel. Carriers price on weight and size, so accurate entries here mean accurate rates.
What do I set?
- Ship From — the warehouse the parcel leaves from, taken from your carrier default.
- Weight — enter pounds and ounces. The ⚖ Scale button reads a connected scale.
- Package — choose Box, Envelope, Pallet or Custom. Use + Add Package for multi-box shipments.
- Size (in) — length, width and height.
- Confirmation — none, delivery confirmation, or a signature option.
- Insurance — set a declared value to add coverage.
Tip. Apply a Preset ▾ first to fill the package fields in one click, then change only what's different for this order.
Common questions
How do I ship an order in more than one box?
Click + Add Package in the Configure Shipment panel to add a second package, then enter its own weight and dimensions. Each package is rated together for the shipment.
Where does the Ship From location come from?
From your carrier's Default Ship From Location, set in Settings → Shipping Carriers, combined with where the order's stock sits.
