Common questions

Why can't I delete a product?

Products with stock on hand can't be deleted. Clear the inventory first, or discontinue the product to keep its history.

My import updated products instead of creating new ones. Why?

Import matches on SKU. A row whose SKU already exists updates that product. Give copies a new unique SKU, and untick Update existing products (by SKU) if you only want to create.

The Bundle or BOM tab is missing. Where is it?

Those tabs only show for compatible product types. The Bundle tab is on simple and bundle products; the BOM tab is on simple and BOM products. Add the first component to convert a simple product, and the tab stays available.

A channel shows an error status. What does that mean?

A sync problem on that listing. Check the integration's logs for the cause, fix the issue, and the listing will sync on the next run.

A new product doesn't appear where I expect. Where is it?

Check its Status. Drafts and inactive products are hidden by status filters. Clear the filters, or set the product Active.

Available stock is lower than on-hand. Is that a bug?

No. Units are committed to open orders. Available is on-hand minus what's already allocated, so it's the number that reflects what's free to sell.
