Declare customs for international

On international orders the Customs Declarations card appears; set the contents, then add each item with HS code and origin.

International parcels need a customs declaration. The Customs Declarations card appears automatically on international shipments, and what you enter flows onto the carrier's customs forms.

How do I declare customs?

  1. Open the international order. The Customs Declarations card shows in the workspace.
  2. Set the header fields: Select Contents (Merchandise, Gift, Sample and so on), If Undeliverable, Duties Paid By and Postage Paid By.
  3. Click + Add Item and fill in the description, quantity, unit value, HS Code and Country of Origin for each item.

What's required?

Fields marked with a red asterisk are required. Confirm every item before buying the label, because these details print on the commercial invoice.

Tip. Keep an HS code on each product so customs items pre-fill. Wrong or missing codes are the most common cause of customs delays.

Common questions

Why don't I see a Customs Declarations card?

The order is domestic. The card appears only when the ship-to country differs from your ship-from, since only international parcels need a declaration.

Where do the HS codes come from?

From the product's HS Code field. Set it on each product and the customs item pre-fills, which saves typing and reduces clearance delays.
