Generate a return label

On an approved RMA, open the Return Label panel, pick a carrier and format, and click Generate return label. Void it later if needed.

For an approved RMA you can generate a prepaid return label so the customer can ship the goods back. The label panel appears on the return detail page once the RMA is approved.

How do I generate a label?

  1. Open an approved RMA and find the Return Label panel.
  2. If you have more than one carrier set up, choose the Carrier.
  3. Pick the Label format. PNG is recommended; PDF is also available.
  4. Click Generate return label.

What shows after it's issued?

  • The panel shows the carrier, tracking number, service and cost, with Download and Void label buttons.

Tip. Voiding a label cancels that shipment but leaves the RMA open. Regenerate a new label, or carry on receiving once the customer has shipped.

Common questions

Why can't I generate a return label?

The RMA must be approved (or in Label Sent), and the customer needs an email on file. The panel explains which condition is missing when generation isn't available.

What happens if I void a label?

It cancels that shipment, and the carrier may charge a fee depending on the service. The RMA stays open, so you can issue a new label or keep receiving.
